My research focuses on the building and testing of a theory of spatial impact. Spatial impact is the effect of intergroup spatial relationships on individual political attitudes and behavior. In the United States, spatial impact is often structured by the common phenomenon of residential racial segregation.

This page also includes examples of the research I have done on the effects of candidate facial competence on vote choice.
